Emerson James Davison // Bronson Methodist Hospital // Kalamazoo, MI
"Your tiny ten toes stepped into my heart the moment I laid eyes on you my darling girl..."
Giving birth is one of the many amazing things a woman can do. For me, it's an absolute honor to be able to photograph a baby's life within the first 24-48 hours. To know that just hours prior to the session Emmy was still in her mothers womb is mind blowing. Women are amazing beings, and really that is an understatement for Brittany. This is her and Adams second baby, however, the entire pregnancy was completely different from their first baby, Ayden. According to Brittany, her pregnancy with Ayden was a breeze! No morning sickness, and he didn't really kick her in the bladder that much like Emmy did. However, just like Ayden, everything was all worth it at the end, they had their sweet precious baby girl. I walked into the hospital room and instantly notice how small she was and I could hear my ovaries exploding. Usually in our family, our babies are HUGE! I think the smallest baby that Aaron's family had was 8 pounds. So needless to say little Emmy at 6 pounds was the smallest baby I had ever photographed. The photos went absolutely perfect as usually with the Davison family! Minus the fact that Adam got something stuck in his eye, which caused it to swell up and turn bright red. Poor Adam, we had to hide his right eye and photograph him less due to it not being very photogenic. Yet, one of my favorite pictures of the entire session is of Adam holding and kissing Emmy, SO ADORABLE! Then having Ayden kissing his baby sister and awing at her was the cherry on top.
Seriously this family is the easiest to photography and Aaron and I are always so honor to do so. Thank you Brittany and Adam for always allowing us to capture these amazing milestones in your lives! Can't wait to see what the future has in store for the four of you!
Much Love!
Annay and Aaron
