#FlashBackFriday / Joe + Cruz / Petoskey Wedding

I remember the drive up to Petoskey and thinking how beautiful it was! Not only was I excited to photograph this wedding because it happen to be two of our friends getting married, but I was also so excited due to the wedding being in Petoskey! I had never been to Petoskey and all the photos Joe kept sending us as the wedding approached, just made me more eager for the big day! 

As soon as we parked in-front of the Salon, Salon Nouveau Vous, I instantly knew this wedding was going to be beautiful. Not just because the location was breath taking, nevertheless as soon as you walked into the beauty salon, you didn't see one face without a smile. Everyone was so happy and thrilled for this special event. Cruz had her bridal glow on and both mother of the bride and mother of groom held back their tears as they saw their daughter's finishing touches go on. 

The ceremony was just under a stunning waterfall, in the Bay Front Park. Not one seat was empty and not one tissue went dry. What I loved the most was how Joe and Cruz intertwined their culture together for their wedding day. Cruz's nationality is Mexican and so they had a father say their vows in Spanish as well as in English. It was absolutely beautiful on how they both promised their love to each other in both languages. 

Following the ceremony was an elegant reception at The Stafford's Perry Hotel. As soon as the music started, there wasn't a filled seat in the room and the entire dance floor was COVERED with dancing bodies. The vibe in the entire reception hall was high energy and so much fun, it was hard not to bust a move or two. I'm sure I even saw Aaron put a little pep in his step out of the corner of my eye! We had so much fun that is was hard to pack up our things and head back to our room. 

Every minute of that day was so much fun and really made us appreciate our friendship between Joe and Cruz. Thank you for allowing Aaron and I to be apart of such a beautiful and special day! We can not wait to keep capturing your life moments and continuing our wonderful friendship!
